Green Building Design Trends: Insights from the Taipei Twin Towers

Guided by the "Taiwan Architecture & Building Center" and jointly organized by the "Taiwan Intelligent Living Space Development Association" and the "Greater Taichung Real Estate Development Association," the 2024 Smart Green Building: Sensible Design Solutions Forum was successfully held. The forum focused on the integration of smart green buildings with ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) finance, highlighting the resilience and sustainability of future architecture while providing valuable insights and practical experiences for the industry.




A sustainable future through AI & Green Building Design


The keynote speaker, Shaun Bettinson, Director of Sustainable Design at RCI Sustainability Group, delivered a presentation titled "Green Building Design Trends: Insights from the Taipei Twin Towers." The Taipei Twin Towers, standing at a height of 369 meters with 73 floors, are designed to meet LEED, WELL, and EEWH certifications. In his presentation, Bettinson emphasized the building's design objectives in smart technology applications, water resource management, and the creation of healthy environments. He showcased how technologies such as intelligent AI, building control systems, rainwater recycling systems, and smart shading systems contribute to the sustainable development of green buildings.
