LEXUS Kuotu Sanchong Dealership Achieves LEED v4 ID+C Silver Certification

The LEXUS Kuotu Sanchong Dealership earned the LEED v4 Interior Design and Construction (ID+C): Retail Silver Certification, becoming the first LEXUS dealership in Taiwan to receive the prestigious green building recognition. This milestone highlights LEXUS’ strong commitment to embedding sustainability into its brand spaces.

The project was jointly driven by Hotai Motor (general distributor) and Kuotu Motor (dealership), with RCI Sustainable Design Consultants serving as the green building advisor. From construction through interior fit-out, RCI guided the implementation of international sustainability strategies, delivering a flagship dealership that balances energy efficiency, carbon reduction, and premium customer experience, while aligning with forward-looking ESG goals.

Key strategies included the use of high-efficiency HVAC and lighting systems, reduced lighting power density, low-emission materials, and rigorous construction waste recycling management. These measures resulted in significant performance outcomes: 41% water savings and 12% energy and carbon reduction, demonstrating the project’s strong sustainability impact.

Beyond environmental performance, the Sanchong dealership places a strong emphasis on human-centered space quality. From enhanced ventilation during construction, to post-completion lighting performance tests, to operations with 100% fresh air supply and high-quality illumination systems, the project ensures a healthier and more comfortable environment for both customers and employees.

The success of this project establishes a new benchmark for sustainable dealerships, serving as an important demonstration of how the automotive sector can advance toward low-carbon transformation.
