RCI has successfully supported Taipei Veterans General Hospital Yuli Branch in implementing healthy building improvements, leading to the hospital’s achievement of the UL Healthy Building Indoor Air Quality Certification. With this accomplishment, Yuli Branch becomes the first hospital in Taiwan to receive this international recognition. Professional Guidance, Rigorous Certification
Under RCI’s advisory and implementation plan, Yuli Branch carried out a series of upgrades and passed UL’s rigorous three-month monitoring and testing process, which included:
HVAC system evaluation: Comprehensive inspection of ventilation, filtration, and maintenance procedures
Pollutant control: Ensuring compliance with international standards for formaldehyde, VOCs, and particulate matter
Combustion gas monitoring: Controlling harmful pollutants such as carbon monoxide, nitrogen dioxide, and ozone within strict thresholds
Indoor environmental quality: Optimizing temperature, humidity, and hygiene practices
Upon completion of the verification, Yuli Branch officially received the UL Healthy Building Certification. The certificate was presented by UL Solutions representative Lina Ku to Dr. Tsung-Ming Hu, Superintendent of Yuli Branch, recognizing the hospital’s outstanding achievement in creating a healthier medical environment.
